How to test external SIP call

Hi gents,

We have contractors that setup our system. We have expressway-E and C. We also have video conf enabled rooms with SX80s. Now I want to try to dial the SIP URL from external/Internet through this Expressway-E and C to the video conf meeting rooms. What app or software can I use for that? I want to try both audio and video.

Hi Difan,

If you have Jabber configured, then you could install Cisco Jabber in your laptop and register it from outside network using Expressway for test dialing.

Thanks Rajan. However due to some DNS problems my jabbers are not working externally... I am trying to get help on that topic too. This is the URL

You can't have 3rd party clients to work with MRA. Only Jabber. I replied to your other post.

Hi Mohammed, my understanding was that the Exp-E is not only for Jabber, but could be for any external hosts that try to call via SIP through a URI like SIP:dzhao@example.com... Is it not true? Thanks!

Sorry for the late response...

I figured out that I can make a call through our webex account. When I have a webex meeting, I can do call URL and I was able to reach the meeting room.

Also I found a place on the exp-e to show the calls and I see many of them, 99% suspicious... Does it mean that we have the license and people is trying to explore it? Thanks!
