Hunt Groups and Shared Lines

Hi,

I have two phones with a shared line with this shared line a member of a hunt group. Both lines have been setup with max number of calls to be 12 and busy trigger to be 6.

I want to be able to send this many calls to both these lines in the hunt group but after the first call the hunt group is always busy.

The reason why I want the hunt group because they have about 12 lines the customer wants to keep (ie 12 hunt groups and 12 seperate shared lines) but when they go away from their desk need to divert all of these to a single number therefore using the Hunt Group Login/Logout features.

I wish to retain the shared lines so they place calls on hold and then un hold them on other handsets.

Is there a way to for the hunt pilot to ignore the line state and still send calls to a shared line even when they are still on a call?

Thank You

What call control device(CUCM/CMCME) are you using? AFAIK when one line is busy in a hunt group, that device is skipped altogether and the next member(DN) of the hunt group is called. In your scenario since you have a single shared line, the call will give a busy signal if any of the phone is using that line.

Sorry, but i still did not understand your use of the hunt group feature here. Why can't you simply ask the users to do a call forward all from their phone when they are not at desk?

Regards

Nitesh
