The 8841 cannot be configured using web interface.  To be able to configure the 8841, you'll need the following:

  1. A valid SEPmacaddress.cnf.xml configuration file for the phone
  2. DHCP Option 150;
  3. A TFTP Server;
  4. Firmware of the phone; and
  5. dialplan.xml file

Hi Leo Thanks for reply

Actually we are using SIP phone like Yealink/Akuvox in our office and now we want to configure Cisco 8841 through SIP configuration.

Please let me know if we can configure on it 3rd party SIP configuration.

The 8841 can register to a non-Cisco call manager server like Asterisk or 3CX.  I've already provided all the necessary information.

where you able to configure this?

hi i have same cisco cp 8841 and i have 3cx 15.5 where can i get a  SEPmacaddress.cnf.xml for 8841 and how to create a dial plan for Romania for it  thank for help

Can you give more detail please?

I have the same question, how do I get the .xml file into the cisco phone.

hi, i was able to configure a 8841 to connect towards an asterisk server. but only, when asterisk is listening on port 5060 udp. if i change the port on my asterisk, it is not working anymore, although i changed all ports in SEP.cnf.xml.file:

                <callManagerGroup>
                        <members>
                                <member priority="0">
                                        <callManager>
                                                <processNodeName>x.y.z.a</processNodeName>
                                                <ports>
                                                        <sipPort>35060</sipPort>
[...]
                        <outboundProxyPort>35060</outboundProxyPort>
[...]
                <sipLines>
                        <line button="1">
                                <featureID>9</featureID>
                                <featureLabel>33</featureLabel>
                                <proxy>x.y.z.a</proxy>
                                <port>35060</port>
[...]

additionally switching to tcp is not working (i used  <transportLayerProtocol>1</transportLayerProtocol>).

any ideas?
