Hi Guys
I have a confusion about IP address of IP phones at branch site in centralize deployment should it have same subnet as central site or separate subnet ?
If anyone can share any example for easy understanding I will be thankful.
Thanks

I would use a seperate subnet for the IP addresses of phones at your remote site to limit broadcast traffic across your WAN.

Hi
Treat it as you would any other subnet on a remote site. If on your network, your data VLANs would be seperate layer 3 subnets, then so should your IP Phone VLANs.
In general, best practice would be to have seperate subnets.

Nouman:
Trying to complete our colleagues good answers: Please remember that you will have 2 types of traffic from the ip phones:
- Signaling traffic: This is between the ip phone and the call manager (thats mainly why you need connectivity to the call manager)
- RTP traffic : This is the voice traffic. The flows goes from endpoind to endpoint directly (from ip phone to ip phone)
Knowing this last part your objetive is always to do the design and sizing of the subnets focusing on the full mesh routing conectivity between ip phones subnets.
