Hello all
Im hoping I am asking this the right way. I work at a large refinery and we have analog lines thats part of a huge emergency notification system. There is a tech here that works with connecting the lines to a Valcom Paging system. He was asking me if there is a way to increase the gain for a particular analog line. He looked up some Cisco documentation and found info that said:
Input Audio Level - Gain value of Network to Phone
Output Audio Level - Gain value of Phone to Network.
Thes are analog phone sets out in the refinery. Can this be adjusted on the Voice Gateway side or maybe even in Call Manager?
Thanks in advance. Appreciate it.
Rob

you provide very little information about the equipment used, pleas elaborate,
you use the term gain,
but my guess the need is for a higher signal output level sent from the Voice Gateway to the Paging system ?
use the command "show call active voice " on the voice gateway to show the current values

Check with Valcom if this level should have been sufficient, there may be another issue between the two devices (like cabling problem!)

nks so much, yea I put in title the gateway is VG320. The other equipment is by Valcom and another group manages that. Still learning about it but this is a huge help. Appreciate it.
