We just bought the new router BE6S-FXO-M2-K9 witch include a 2921 router with a ucs blade in it to run CUCM Unity Presence etc...
I'm building a project environement, and I was provided a single network to do so. the actual network is 172.16.10.0/24 the default gateway 172.16.10.1 is already in place on another router.
Everything need to be on the same vlan. Where should I connect my switch that will have phones connected, on the interface ge0/0 on the 2921 or in one of the two nic of the ucs
I can't find the best practice for that kind of equipment, The thing that is confusing me is the internal ucse1/0 interface. out of the box it had 172.27.199.1 on it. Esxi have 172.27.199.4. I need to use an external default gateway witch is already on another router and I would like to keep everything on the same vlan but I can't put the same subnet on the internal nic and ge 0/0.
I was wondering if someone could share an exemple of the ip address you choose to configure on every equipment and how you connected it to an already existing network.
