Hello all
I have 2 Cisco IP Phones that boot up and stay stuck on TFTP Timeout. I know the tftp server is working be cause i was able to obtain an IOS to a router from it.
I am trying to manually configure these phones for SIP but can't even press the setting button to enable. Any help would be much appreciated.

7940 SIP loads are somewhat out of scope for SBCS deployments. If you have CUCM server handy, instructions for conversion is below. If this does not work please kindly open a TAC case.

You could also try and use IOS as the TFTP sever. In any case, make sure that the tftp server has the following files.
OS79XX.TXT
P003
P003
P0a3
P0a3
Use the link that Tomoo suggested to figure out the content of these files. You may need assistance from TAC for converting it to the SIP firmware.
