Having an issue seeing/pairng an iPhone with 8800 series phones. Tried on various 8845 & 8865 phones. Colleages with Android and Windows mobile are able to see/pair with those phones. Tried resetting network on iPhone to no avail. Had an 8865 registered to Spark and was able to pair with the iphone, but when I moved it to the local VoIP cluster and updated the firmware, the iPhone was no longer able to see the 8865.

iPhone: SE with ios version 11.0.1(15A402)

8845 & 8865 active load sip8845_65.12-0-1-11

UCM version 9.1.2.11900-12

Answered my own question in anyown else finds it helpful:

I went to another user who has an 8800 series phone and an I phone. Both of our iPhones could see/connect to his 8800 series phone.

I  compared phone configurations between his and mine. I had mine set up in “Enhanced Line Mode” and his was set at “Session Line Mode” I configured my phone to for Session Line Mode and was then able to see/pair my iPhone with the 8800 series phone. I tried switching Line Modes back and forth to see if the issue was repeatable and it is, which leads to the conclusion that Bluetooth  connectivity to iPhones does not work when Enhanced Line Mode is configured. Furthermore:

  • In session line mode
    • iPhone icon appears on main phone screen button 2
    • Under Bluetooth settings, option 2 is selectable for hands-free 2-way audio
  • In Enhanced line
    • iPhone icon does not appear on main phone screen
    • Under Bluetooth settings, option 2 for hands-free 2-way audio is grayed out

I’ve tested this with the 8845, the 8865 and with phone firmware versions sip8845_65.11-7-1-17 and sip8845_65.12-0-1-11

I learned that the iPhone won’t pair with 8800 series phones when they’re configured for Enhanced Line Mode.

Any further update on this ?

Is it possible to answer phone calls from my mobile ‎phone on the Cisco IP phone even if I had no Internet or a landline?
I would simply connect Cisco IP phone to a power point and pair mobile phone with Cisco IP.
