Hi,

When configuring a 7940 in Proxy Mode must it have the second line for the proxy line showing on the screen of the phone?

Hi Rich,

Yep.. on the assistants phone the proxy line must be present.. hence the limitation on 33 managers per assistant.. 6 lines on a 7960 + 28 lines on 2 x 7914s.. - 1 assistants line!

Thanks Tim. But the manager doesn't need two right? (unless for intercom which isn't necessary?). They are 7940's.

Yep.. Manager only needs his single line on the phone.

Intercom is optional. And annoying to setup :)
