Is it possible to use WS-SVC-CMM-24FXS to connect to a asterisk pbx and not use UCS at all?

I am needing just a few analog lines made available to the asterisk  pbx that I am using for the majority of my calls.  I just got a catalyst 6509 and noticed that it had the fxs module available.  The price of the used fxs is no worse than any pci/e phone card I could get for the vm running asterisk and would keep me from having to assign hardware to a guest.  I do not want to have to run the cisco call manager on another vm to connect the 2 pieces.  Is there any possible solutions to getting the fxs card to talk to asterisk?

The CMM can be configured as an H.323 GW, and it can be connected to a SIP proxy, but I'd stick to H.323 as the CMM EoL is on june 2014, see:
