Limit on 3rd party SIP endpoint registrations in CUCM with same IP

I was told that CUCM has a limit of allowing only 8 3rd party SIP endpoints to register to CUCM if they have the same IP address, but I cannot find any documentation to corroborate this. 

Does anyone know if this is true for sure?

Such restriction doesn't exist. As far as I know, you can register as many devices as cucm specs allow as long as you register one device per digest credintials.
