I am having issues with a site where LD dialing is not working, message says, circuit is not configured for Long distance calls. The Telco have done tests and say it is a problem with the Gatway config, but the gateway is configured the same as several other sites on the same CM. The Telco also says that the gateway needs to be configured for "call screening, 10 digit dial, NI2 , 6963 as pic & lpic ". Can anyone explain what this means in particular the "6963 as pic & lpic" bit.

A couple of things I notice about your debug:
1. It appears your switch type is set to primarty-5ess and the carrier is indicating it should be NI2.
2. Your are sending out "441582421111" and the carrier is indicating it should be 10 digits.
The PIC code refers to the code used to indicate which LD carrier to use. This should be set and sent out by your local carrier, not sent out by your gateway.

Thanks for your reply, can you tell me where in the debug you see that the telco is expecting a switch type of NI2.
I have tried configuring all switch types available but still the same problem.
The number "441582421111" is an international number so surely these will be variable lengths.
Can you explain further.

In your original post, you mentioned that the telco is expecting NI2.
You might also check with the telco to see if they want a particular numbering plan/type.

So I did, I will check with the telco about the numbering plan, do I need to speak to the circuit provider or the LD carrier.
Do you know what this bit means "6963 as pic & lpic"

I would start with the circuit provider as they should be able to tell you if they are rejecting the call or if it is being rejected by the LD carrier.
PIC - Preferred Interexchange Carrier - Carrier to use for InterLATA calls
LPIC - Local Preferred Interexchange Carrier - Carrier to use for IntraLATA calls
Each LD carrier has a unique code. From a quick search, it looks like 6963 is Verizon. Again, this code is usually set by the local carrier and not something that is sent out by the gateway.
