Meeting Place 8.5 - Reserved ports

Hi,

We have a client using Meeting Place 8.5 with a maximum of 15 reserved ports, and have a couple of questions about ports reservation.

1. If a meeting is scheduled with 5 defined participants, how many ports will get reserved; 5 or all 15?

2. and if only 2 users will join, will other ports be reserved for the duration of the meeting or can be used for other meetings.

I have looked into it, but couldn't find any documentation. Any help would really be appreciated, and if there's any documentation that'll be great.

Thanks,

Kam

Hi,

Are you using a WebEx integration with MP? If that's the case all meetings will be reservationless or on demand.

Probably this document might help:

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I have confirmed with the client and they said that they are not using WebEx integration with MP.

They put it in this way that MP has 3 options for meetings

1. Reservationless

2. Scheduling

3. Webex

They are using first two options. Option one, they know if 10 participants will join then 10 ports will be reserved. Their question is for option 2; Scheduling.

Thanks,

Kamran
