MGCP Voice Gateway Registration issue

                 Hello guys,

We are facing issues with MGCP gateway registration. Earlier the MGCP gateway was properly registered with the call manager. Recently we had an activity wherein we had to change the domain name of the MGCP gateway router. So we changed the domain name of the router and made similar changes to the MGCP gateway configuration in the CIsco Call Manager. But after making the configuration changes we noticed that the status of the gateway in CUCM was show as "unknown unknown".

But at the same time when we checked in the MGCP gateway with "show ccm-manager", we noticed that the call manager server was successfully registered with the gateway router. We are also able to ping the call manager ip from the gateway router.

Similar we also found that the calls were getting connected properly. The CUCM version is 7.1.5

Has anyone faced similar issue before....please guide us.

It depends on case to case base. May be some bug  which is not identifed yet.

I'm having the same issue with an MGCP gateway, its registration status is unknown on cucm but a show ccm-manager on the gateway shows its registered.

If i do a restart of "RIS Data Collector" and "Database Layer Monitor service" on the pub and subs will it cause a service outage at all?

both the services are basically for monitoring purpose and collecting real time information for device .

what is the Call manager version u are using? can u share show version and show diag of router?

also, share show ccm-manager and show isdn status.
