migrate cisco presence database to a new server

Currently we have our presence database on a windows 2008 server, however I am looking to move this to a windows 2012 server.  I have found this site: http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cups/8_0/english/install_upgrade/database/guide/CUPDBSetup/Configuring_Database_CUP.html, however I am unable to find any steps on migrating the database to a new server.  Does anyone know what steps would be needed for this other than pointing presence to the new server?

If you mean moving the actual PostgreSQL DB from one server to the other, then you need to ask in a PostgreSQL forum, we do not cover that within Cisco documentation. As far as the CUPS config, yes, you would need to point to the new server hosting the DB.

Yes I understand that it is a postgres but I need to know if it is simply copying the database from one db to another or just certain tables, or if anything needs to be done in general which is why I am asking this here

Hi.

If you want to restore old message and log of previous db so yes import the db to the new server. The main thing is to give R/W access to cups server and tables respect the template here explained
