What is the best practice to get old modems to work on a VG350? The scenario is: VG350 (SCCP) > CUCM > MGCP (voice gateway) > PRI.
The Fax passthrough vs modem passthrough is somewhat confusing in the documentation. We are migrating a site from a Nortel to Cisco and there are lots of old modems that we would like to get working on the VG350s otherwise we will have to invest in purchasing 1FB lines in order to support. I know that "fax passthrough" and "Modem passthrough protocol" cannot be used together, but I cannot seem to remove the fax passthrough. Does this apply to "modem passthrough nse" as well? http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/ios/voice/fax/configuration/guide/15-2MT/vf_15_2MT_book/vf_cfg_mdm_psthr.pdf
Has anyone successfully deployed a SCCP VG350 with a modem? Thank you.
The current configuration is:
