Music on hold file

Guys,

I need to convert a file for music on hold, what is the right software to convert this file. what will be the right settings for a good sound quality. CME is usinfg G711

You can get the online audio converter from google.

The MOH file can be in.au or.wav file format, but the file format must contain 8-bit 8-kHz data; for example, ITU-T A-law or mu-law data format.

The MOH chapter from the CME admin guide already has that information

  • A music file must be in stored in the router’s flash memory. This file should be in G.711 format. The file can be in.au or.wav file format, but the file format must contain 8-bit 8-kHz data; for example, ITU-T A-law or mu-law data format.
