One Way Audio issue..

Dear All,

We are facing one way Audio issue on CUCM setup.

1-From one Branch to another branch extension to ext call one way audio.

2-Calling on UCCX Helpdesk number have same issue of one Way audio.

Note: its happening only from 2 branches, others all working fine.

Also from Mobiles and other landline phones working smooth with no issues.

Appreciate your expertise to resolve the issue.

As Harris mentioned,

Open the RTP Ports between Phones 16384 - 32767 UDP.

and SIP 5060,5061 TCP,UDP, SCCP 2000 , TFTP Ports between Phone and CUCM.

sometimes, the helpdesk users connect the IP phones via Wi-Fi and the wireless controller is not configured to support SIP communication.

Hi Abid,

First thing first there are slim to none chances of this being a CUCM \ Voip issue.

Audio \ RTP should flow independent of CUCM, until a media resources is invoked of CUCM. For example MOH, MTP etc.

First i would recommend to find out what is the exact Path the RTP Packet\Frame is traveling to reach end-to-end, then you would have to debug every hope in between to find out where you are dropping that RTP packet.

Make sure you take help with your network team for this a with complex network topologies it is difficult to track Packet \ Frame to find out where the drop is.

Unfortunately there is no easy way to go about this.

Thanks for your support.

This issue is causing on internal network only, Externally (outside Calls) are working fine from any landline or mobile Phone.

is there any specific ports which we need to open from End user phone to CUCM for communication?

Open the RTP Ports between Phones 16384 - 32767UDP.

and SIP 5060,5061 TCP,UDP, SCCP 2000 , TFTP Ports between Phone and CUCM.

Thanks for your reply, actually we solved that issue after allowing ports from the FW.

but still while calling on internal Helpdesk number, there is one way Audio issue.

Any specific port to open for internal Helpdesk calls.
