Overhead Paging Call Blast

Hi all,

I have a customer wanting to interface their overhead paging with their new CUCM 6.1 IPT system. They have the overhead paging split into four zones and I have a 4 port FXO card setup with one analog line to service each zone. The customer wants to be able to call each zone individually via a different number which is easy enough but they also want another number which if called would trigger the paging over all 4 zones at the same time. I believe this is called "Call Blast" but I don't think its supported on CUCM? Any ideas on the best alternative option to set this up?

Hi Steven,

This type of setup is available in most Paging Control systems. The name would be something like "all Zones" or "Paging Override". These would bridge all 4 Zones together for an "all Page".

So, have a look at the Paging system for this config as it is not generally a CCM setup. If you let us know what you are using we can probably check out the specs and come up with a solution for your customer :)
