Packaging Information

Hello,

Where can I find all the packaging information for each TP product?  I am looking for the dimensions & weight of the shipping container for each type of TelePresence product.  I checked the Cisco Trade Tool for this information, but those fields are empty for TP products.

Thanks,

Justin

Hi Justin,

I'm sorry that we have yet to respond. your question has spurred a flurry of discussion.  For the largest systems, the information is available in the installation guide (e.g. Profile 65) http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/telepresence/endpoint/profile-series/installation_guide/78-19779-01_Profile_65_C90-C60_Installation_Sheet_for_web.pdf.

It seems that this quesiton is typically only asked around larger team or room systems.  Is this the case for you as well?

Thanks,

Julie Swenson

Julie,

Thank you for responding.  We are a distributor of TelePresence products for Cisco and our sales team gets requests from our dealers all the time on how a certain product will ship.  For instance they may ask the dimensions & weight of an E20 box, not the E20 itself, but the shipping box.

A lot of our dealers could be ordering a multitude of one type of product and they will need to know how large the shipping box is & how much it weighs for delivery purposes.

Thanks,

Justin

Hi Justin,

At a basic level, the weight and how it is packaged is shared for all products in the installation guides. But, I anticipate this is a bit hard for your dealers to search for each time they require the info. (The box dimensions are only shared for the largest products currently).

I’ll share your email with the product managers to further the discussion and see what we can do!

Julie

Julie,

Just as an example, I am looking at the C60 Installation Sheet and I see nothing about the cardboard box that contains the C60, it's dimensions or full weight.  Am I looking in the wrong location?

No, you are looking in the right place per my earlier email. I believe that the Product Managers of larger products are more in-tune with this request as often there are issues with delivery and elevator size. The PMs for the smaller systems, especially codecs, do not receive this request often.

I’ve brought your discussion to the leaders on the PM team to see if they can incorporate the packaged dimensions and weight consistently across products. And, if there is a centralized place that it could be placed (mentioning the tracker tool you brought up).

Julie,

Again, thank you so much for getting back to me and raising this issue internally   Let me know if you get further information on this if you don't mind.

No problem. I’ll let you know if I hear anything. But please feel free to reach out if you don’t hear in a week or so as that will prompt me to re-raise it if I don’t hear anything prior.

Julie,

Did you ever get anywhere with this?

Thanks,

Justin

Julie,

Thank you for keeping me honest!  I did receive a response a while back that it made sense to be consistent.  I've resent our dialogue to the same PM group and added a few others from operations and the technical writing team.  I believe that among them I can get consensus as well as quicker action.

I suspect that we all lost track of this but we'll get right back on it!

Julie

Was this question ever answered? If so, I would really like to receive/know what the response was and how to get the dimensions. Thanks!

Sad to see that numerous posts have been placed, but nothing is available yet.

I need this for over 220 products to calculate total weight, but now it looks like an individual download of a datasheet for each will need to be done. Surreal ...
