I have ccm 5.1 and a plantronics cs55 attached to a 7961. When 7961 rings i can hit the button on wireless headset and answer the phone with the headset lifter. However the user has to hit the headset switch to be able to speak to the caller. This user is mobile and may be 50-75ft away from phone. Is there a way for the phone once picked up with headset/headset lifter to auto answer with the headset switch light on and functioning correctly without having to manually press the headset switch? If so how is it setup? Thanks for any and all help.
P.S. In the line appearance i have auto answer with headset on but still no automatic headset button when answered

Hi Jason,
Many people here have had problems with various manufacturers Handset Lifters. The problem, as you have noted is that when the Handset is placed On-Hook by the lifter at the end of the call the Headset port is shut down as well. You need to toggle the Headset Port back on prior to the next call (which is hard to train users to do) We actually gave up on using the lifters altogether :(
I am looking into a great new method of using Wireless Headsets that Plantronics and Cisco have developed that work with the 7942/7945, 7962/7965 and 7975 IP Phones only so far. The Plantronics HHC adapter enables hookswitch control and ring detection for CS50, CS55, CS60, CS70, CS70N, CS351N, CS361N and V510S wireless headsets, eliminating the need for a an HL10 lifter.)
With the use of an Adaptor Part # APC-4 (called the HHC Adaptor) which plugs into the Aux Port on the base of the phone allows calls to be answered and disconnected via the Headset without the use of the Lifter!
We are just waiting to receive some 7945's and 7965's to fully test this out.
HHC adapter (APC-4) Product Information
Hope this helps!

Jabra/GN Netcom has some models as well with HHC.
