Hi all,
I'm trying to send a call through a T1 PRI trunk from my 6608 --> CUCM --> router.
What I'm trying to do is this for example:
dial--> 1234 CUCM send to trunk --> router
using this command:
debug voip dialpeer all
Currently I get no log of any matching dial peers.
This is my current config on the router.
isdn switch-type primary-ni
controller T1 0/0/0
framing esf
linecode b8zs
pri-group timeslots 1-24
!
interface Serial0/0/0:23
no ip address
encapsulation hdlc
isdn switch-type primary-ni
isdn incoming-voice voice
no cdp enable
!
voice-port 0/0/0:23
!
dial-peer voice 4000 pots
destination-pattern .
incoming called-number .
direct-inward-dial
port 0/0/0:23
!
Any suggestions?
Tia,

OK, first of all i assume you're using H323 as the control protocol for the router, MGCP for the 6608
what do you receive on the 6608? 4 digits?
ie: 1234
do you have a route pattern for 1234??
Is the route pattern configured to go thru the router?
are you adding or removing anything at CCM level?
are you able to place any other call thru that router??
do a debug voip ccapi inout to verify if the information is being sent from the CCM server
BTW the dial-peer from the posted config is to match a digit... literally, 1 digit and only 1 digit so i can tell you that's sure not being used if you send 4 digits

Thanks for your reply,
OK, first of all i assume you're using H323 as the control protocol for the router, MGCP for the 6608
Using mgcp for the 6608, if I've defined all the parameters on my router then its using H323 ? I also defined the MFT-T1 on ccm for mgcp, but I dont think thats proper.
what do you receive on the 6608? 4 digits?
ie: 1234
yes
do you have a route pattern for 1234??
Is the route pattern configured to go thru the router?
yes, I'm sending the pattern 12XX over the route list that contains the PRI trunk, im not sure what partition , i've tried it on AllInternalPT and I immediatly got fast busy signal while calling. Next, I tried setting it to other partitions suchs as external dialing partitions, phone # rang and said call connect be completed as dialed.
are you adding or removing anything at CCM level?
Yes, I've defined my MFT-T1 Card on my CCM, I've assigned
are you able to place any other call thru that router??
do a debug voip ccapi inout to verify if the information is being sent from the CCM server
debug voip ccapi inout or debug voip dialpeer all both of these display nothing, it seems the ccm is not sending the traffic at all.

quick question, is the isdn status up?
are you able to place calls on the router??
if the router is not even working with any other calls i's suggest to check the configuration under CUCM and in the GW.
i assume you DID configured the router as H323 in CUCM.
also that you DO have all the dial-peers configured at the router in the h323 config.
as i already mentioned the dial-peer you have on the post will only route calls in which you dial 1 digit, if you want 4 digits use .... or .T
there is a lot of documentation on CCO if you look for h323 config samples and also for dial-peers

I'm not entirely sure how to answer all the questions accurately, as of now I have:
dial-peer voice 1200 voip

destination-pattern [1-9]
session target ipv4:10.0.0.94
incoming called-number 12..
dtmf-relay h245-signal

dial-peer voice 1201 pots
destination-pattern 12..
incoming called-number 12..

I greatly appreciate your help, do you have any recommendations for good cisco GW/GK books?

TEI = 0, Ces = 1, SAPI = 0, State = AWAITING_ESTABLISHMENT
is NOT good it should be:
TEI = 0, Ces = 1, SAPI = 0, State = MULTIPLE_FRAME_ESTABLISHED
you do not have layer 2 up, that's why no calls are going thru. check framing, linecode, timing, etc.
POTS dial-peers discard any exact digits they match, they only send wildcards if you do not instruct them to send all the digits on N digits. add forward-digits all to the pots dial-peer

one more thing, post the controller and voice port config, i think you're combining MGCP with H323 config
%Q.931 is backhauled to CCM MANAGER 0x0003 on DSL 2. Layer 3 output may not appl
y
if you have isdn bind-l3 ccm-manager in the config that is for MGCP
