problem blocking outgoing calls on CUCM 8.0

Hi

I have a deployment using extension mobility. I want to prevent outgoing calls from a logged out phone.

My deployment uses line/device configuration, so when a phone has no logged on device profile it has a dummy number with a special partition.

For example calls_blocked_PT I then create a translation pattern with the calls_blocked_PT and block calls beginning with 9.

I think this should work but it doesnt, the logged out phone can still dial anywhere using the access code 9.

Am i missing something, do i need to restart a service?

Regards

Colin

Colin,

The device (phone) has a CSS and the DN has also a CSS.

The resulting CSS is a concatenation of the Device CSS and Line CSS.

Read the SRND chapter talking about the line/device approach.

The Device CSS should prevent calling PSTN.

The Line CSS should also prevent calling PSTN when configured for your dummy numbers.

For Extension mobility, the User Device Profile should enable calling PSTN.

Therefore, for the same device, if someone is logged out of EM, he won't be able to call PSTN.

And is he is logged in to EM, he will be able to call PSTN.

Pierre.
