problem with cisco 7861

Hello all ,

I have problem with device type 7861.

Randomly, when we call to extension setting on this device we got busy tone.
The problem was solved by rebooting the phone.

My CUCM version is 11.5.1.11900-21.

my version of device sip78xx-12-1-1-12 .

any idea?

Can you check the status of the phone on the CUCM when you receive the busy tone? Is it shown as "registered"?

You can also try to change the settings of its DN for example, set the forward when unregistered to your cell number  to check if there is a issue on the DN Configuration (if your call is forwarded to your cell, then definitely the device gets unregistered). 

 

Moreover, you should check the Multiple Call/Call Waiting Settings, check below:

Last but not least, have to tried also to replace it to identify if its a hardware issue?

The status of phone is registered .

 

we solved the problem by the reset but

 

The problem occurs randomly in all phones.

 

How to solve the problem permanently?

 

 

Are you able to check from the RTMT if you receive any alerts on Services, for example if Call Manager service is operating correct?

Does this happen to all 7861 and/or other models?

1. I didn't see alert in Call Manager.
2. yes , randomly .

If the issue occurs only on your 7861 devices, can you try to update them to the latest firmware and check the performance?
