QOS revision questions

Hi, I was wondering if someone ould help me with a few things?

Im learning about queueing, marking, etc.

If i have 3 routers in a chain, and the two outer routers are implementing dscp marking on ingress traffic using class maps and policy maps,

(I assume this by definition implies CBWFQ?),

Assuming I have WFQ enabled on all other interfaces, do i need to implement anything on the middle router for the queueing to work properley?

If I do doesit have to be CBWFQ or is WFQ ok?

I think i need to mark LLQ stuff EF dscp wise but that's as far as i've got.

Cheers in advance

David,

Theoritically you do not need to run QOS on the CENTRE router.
The connected routers should be sending their packets ordered by
highest priority set by the outbound policy map.

However if you add more links/interface to this router then you
would want QOS.

I suggest that you config qos at least on your outgoing interfaces
throughout you network

ROUTER A ---->POLICY-MAP OUT --->  ROUTER B ---->POLICY-MAP OUT --->ROUTER C

ROUTER A <----POLICY-MAP OUT <---  ROUTER B <----POLICY-MAP OUT <---ROUTER C

This will also allow you look at the stats for your networks performance.

Alex.
