Question about CM cluster databases

In a situation whereby there is one pub and one sub, only the pub's database is writeable. My understanding is that when a query is made for, let's say, a phone on the sub that the information presented on screen is pulled from the pub and is not a reflection of the local database. Is this correct?

I am working on a database replication issue right now and am trying to understand how, when I am logged into the sub and make changes to a device that the changes are reflected on the sub (which is read-only) but not on the pub. Why does the sub show this change if a query on it is a reflection of the pub and the pub itself doesn't seem to show this change?

Hi shikamaru,

DB architecture has changed a lot in CCM versions 4.X, 5.X and 6.X let me know the version you are using.

And I can clarify you questions.

thanks

I am using 5.1(3). How does the architecture compare to 4.2(3)?
