Question of IOS for an upgrade

I have about 40 sites with a mix of 2811, 2821 and 2851 voice gateways. We are rolling out new 7962 phones and want to use the G722 wideband codec, which requires IOS 12.4(20). We are running 12.4(11) XW5. We want to update to 12.4(25)T5. My question is this: Is there a specific IOS for each platform, 2811, 2821 and 2851? Or can I download the c2800nm-advipservicesk9-mz.124-24.T5.bin and use it everywhere? The IOS images :look: alike, size wise.

as you are going for an IOS upgrade, do follow the link below and upload the latest IOS for the different kind of routers you are using

the above link takes you to a page where you will find different routers, select the router you are currently trying to do an IOS upgrade and select the latest one.

always remember one thing, you can upgarde the ios to t train from the mail line series.

but never upgarde the IOS from t train to main line series.

check the link above and try to upload the latest for each different router you are using

you can download one ios for 2811 router and upload IOS for all the 2811 routers

and download the latest IOS for 2821 again and upload the IOS for all 2821 routers

Hi Priya BT and thanks for the response. Aftert doing some more digging I found that you can use a universal file for the 2800 series, c2800nm-advipservicesk9-mz.124-24.T5.bin. We have some 3800 series also, and those require a specific file for that model, 3825-advipservicesk9-mz-124-24.T5.bin. Now to just do the upgrade.
