REGEX and Cisco Router for SIP Manipulations

Does someone knows what flavor of regex Cisco uses for SIP profiles manipulation (Perl, JavaScript, other)? 

Have not found a single documents that delves into this.

I have seeing some documents that mention perl but needs to be an strip down version because some wildcards are not supported...
