restoring a backup in cucm 7.1.5-no feature found in backup

Hi,

I have setup a lab with vmware 5.5, installed cuc, cucm and uccx version 7 for a customer.

I am having issues with restoring a backup from cucm 7.1.5. 

I get the message no features found in backup when I try to restore (does not give the option to tick ccm)

my backup contains a sub and a pub, but I want to restore only the pub(did a fresh installation). I have a successful message for the backup in the live server.

I would like to check the trace files for my backup from the CLI.

found in doc to look for

platform/drf/trace/drfMA0

platform/drf/trace/drfConfLib0

platform/drf/trace/drfConfLib0

I am not 100% sure how to read those from the cli, so any help appreciated!

You can collect these logs using RTMT or CLI (attaching doc for cli) and can read them using Notepad++

Hope you are trying to restore backup on exactly same version of cucm and with same IP address, host name, security password.

Hi thanks a lot guys.

after reviewing the logs, I found out my drfcomponent xml file could not be opened. had lots of NULL statements at the bottom.

deleted them and this is now working.
