Retrieving user info From DC directory -CCM 3.3

Hi

I am trying to make a record of users, their pin, speed dials etc from DC directory using DC directory Bulk Export Utility. But I get the following error when I try to export.

"Bad configuration."

"Error MLK0105:

Cannot perform this task as the server has not been bootstrapped.

This can be done using the DC-Directory Admin application or DCDBTAPP"

I suspect its because of the input i have given. ( Export File: A blank .txt file., Root DN: /O=Cisco.com and Configuration file: left blank). Could you please suggest what is to be given in the configuration file field, assuming this could be the cause for the error.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Freddy

Take a look at using avvid_migrate_save. This is an exe file in the c:\dcdsrvr\bin\ folder. You can run it from the command line. You need to specify the host name and Directory Manager password. The data files are dumped to c:\dcdsrvr\run\dcx500\config\migration-backup\.

The script will create a group of text files in LDIF format on the host you ran the script.

Another method to get at this data is to use Softerra to connect to the CUCM node and dump the LDIF records. The avvid_migrate_save is very straight forward so I would go that route.

Hope that helps.

Bill
