SCCP Discussion on Unity Connection 8.5

Hi everyone,

I have a problem on unity connection 8.5 with two different call flows,

First call flow : A PSTN call redirected on Unity Connection because the called line is busy, Unity Connection arrived to know the state busy of the originated line called and plays the busy greeting of busy phone.

Second call flow : A PSTN call passtrough a SIP device (SVI) and arrived on busy phone which is redirected on Unity Connection, Unity Connection just plays the open greeting and not the busy greeting of the busy phone.

Unity Connection is integrated with CUCM in SCCP.

I have done a network trace on unity connection and i doesn't to seen the difference between these two calls

My questions,

  • How identify an unique SCCP discussion ? (Call identifier? tcp port ?..)
  • How Unity Connection knows if the originated called is busy or not ?
  • I don't find information on all SCCP messages ID....

Thanks for your help,

Matthieu

SCCP is always port 2000

When CUCM transfers the call to CUC there's a redictering reason which states if it was a CFA, CFB, CFNA, etc and then CUC can handle the call accordingly, you can use the port status monitor to get that info.

In checking the traces on the CUCM, i have seen that the Call Manager inform Unity Connection with one difference for the state of the original forward reason on the parameter "originalCdpnRedirectReason" which is at

  • 1 for my first call flow  (Call Forward Busy)
  • 15 for my second call flow (Call Forward all)

If i want correct this problem, i have to change the global parameter of Unity Connection :

Use Last (Rather than First) Redirecting Number for Routing Incoming Call

It is possible to just change this parameter for ONE user???

No, that's a global parameter.
