Secure IP Phones for Defense Industry?

Hi all,

can anyone point me to any resources for secure IP phones for defense industry?

I have a client looking for a TS-7906, which they tell me is a Secure IP phone for use in top secret (hence T-S) environment.

In my searches I can't find anything like it.

When I used to work for Nortel, our secure IP phones for defense had unique wiring internals to provide visual indication of off/on hook conditions, it wasn't just a difference in firmware.

Any pointers would be mch appreciated.

Thanks

Chris

Cisco phones have no hardware difference when operating in sicure mode. There will be a lock indication on the display and that's it.

The part number you mentioned may be something that Cisco partner has prepared for a Gov. customer, but it is not an official cisco P/N.

The crypto/secure features, limitations, caveats for each model and application are all described in the documentation and in the SRNDs.
