We need to avoid RTP noise confort packages in our CCM 6.0 network in order to be able to record conversations (It's a issue of the recording application used).
In the service parameters of the Cisco CallManager we have used the following parameters:
Silence suppression: False
Silence suppression with gateway: False
Strip G.729 Annex B: True
We wanted to use G.729 without Annex B and avoid the noise comfort RTP frames. But with this configuration a SIP PSTN Gateway sends to the Cisco phones noise comfort RTP frames (in the other direction there aren't these frames).
I want to ask if there is a method CCM to force in the SIP/SDP negotation with the gateway to not use these frames. Or if this problem could be a local issue of the gateway configuration.
Thanks,
Christian
