Hi,
I have recently configured SIP Phone 9951 in my network which went well and i have voice and video communcation between two 9951 Phones.
But now the problem is since its existing netwrok which is all SCCP phones (wireless Phones and 7975 Phones most) where users carry their wireless Phones 7921 with them when they are away from desk. Now the same users wants his exntesion to be configured on Video Phone (9951) too.
ex:- his existing extension which is 1002 configured on both 7575 and 7921. Both phones ring same time for incoming call.
He wants to replace 7975 Phone with 9951 Video Phone and share is 1002 exntesion on both 9951 and 7921 Phones.
Any advise on how to do it, considering the fact that they are SIP and SCCP Phones.
Will it really work.
If not any workarounds ??
Appreciate groups input.
Thanks
Asem

Is this with CUCM or CME?
Either way you simply build the 9951 with the extension you want which will essentially build a shared line appearance. The if you want you can delete the 7975 completely or unassociate it from the line.
It works just fine and is fully supported.

Hi Chris,
I tried the below.
SCCP PHone 7975 has exntesion 1211
SIP Phone 9951 also has exntesion 1211
The extension appear on both phones, but the problem here is when i dial into 1211 only the SIP Phone (9951) rings, not the SCCP Phone(7975). But i can make calls from both.
the only problem now is SCCP phone (7975) does not ring for incoming calls.
Please help.

Hi,
got it working now.
The clue here is to enable Shared line in voice register dn of SIP and ephone-dn of SCCP.
In ephone-dn is "shared-line SIP".
One thing to remeber with sip is every change of voice dn you create a profile in global, then apply it.
Works good.
