Hi,
As per the instrution on http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee862409.aspx we have setup a sip trunk on alive environment.
We are facing the following issues now,
(a)Calling to Lync from outside
======================
Softphone assigned to the Lync will get disconnected whenever one off hook the handle to attend the incoming call.We get the following error "call has not completed or has ended" ( without any error code) on Lymc 2010
(b) Calling to outbound calls
==================
Lync is showing following error "Server cannot forward the call"
We are able to call from Lync to internal calls through Call manager.
Is there any way to trace the troubleshooting steps for sip trunk.
I check the CM traces using the following link http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps556/products_tech_note09186a0080094e89.shtml
buit was not able to search it out using exact key words.
Regard

it might be a codec issue
do the following first
make call from ip phone to lync then press the buttin on the ip phone (?) and see what is the codec on that call
then make another call from lync to ip phone then press the button the ipphone and see the codec
make a call from ip phone to PSTN thorugh the voice gateway and press the same button and see the codec
post codecs per call here
also can you confirm what codec in the region setting assigned to the SIP trunk and to the vocie gateway ?

Hi Marwan,
Call amnager was using codec 711ulaw for internal calls and gateway was using codec.729.Once codec on gateway was swt to 711 codec everything went fine.
