softkey template on 6921 !

Hi all.

I am using CUCM 8. I have 2 ip phones , 7962 and 6921. I wanted a DND softkey while my phone is in on hook position. I configured the template and assigned it to both 7962 and 6921 phone. Strange thing is, 7962 is showing the new dnd button, but 6921 doesnt take any effect. I tried changing dnd to other options but none are showing up in 6921.

Can someone give me any guidance

The way the DND key is configured has changed in the 69XX, 89XX and 99XX phones.  The DND key must be placed on the "phone button template". As mentioned in the administration guide it cannot be set as a softkey.

You will need to do the following:

1.  Go under Device > Device Settings > Phone Button Template

2.  Select the Standard 6921 SCCP template

3.  Hit the Copy button on the top right

4.  Name the template something that will allow you to know it contains the mobility key "Standard 6921 SCCP with DND"

5.  Changed the 2nd line from "Line" to "DND"

6.  Hit save

7.  Go back to the 6921 phone and change the phone button template to the new template you just created.

8.  Hit Save and then Apply Config

Can you check if that makes it work for you?
