SRST in non-cisco environment

Hi,

i have one question regarding SRST interoperability with other vendors equipment. In our network, cisco 881 SRST routers are used to connect small branch offices to central site. However, whole network uses Astra platform for VoIP.

My question is if it is possible to use the SRST feature on the 881 router to maintain local telephony on the site with the Astra IP phones(which can work with backup SIP proxy) and without CUCM implemented anywhere in the network (not sure if SRST generaly works without CUCM).

In the SRST documentation i found a list of cisco ip phones compatible with this feature and i am not sure if those are the only phones that can take advantage of SRST.

HI

Yes third party SIp phones are supported for SRST also provided they have passed tekVizion testing and I am sorry to say but Astra phones are not tested.
