SRST - port 2000 closed

Hello,

I need your help in configuring SRST. I have configured it on a few routers but with this one I have troubles.

It is router 3845 with recent IOS. For communication with CUCM it uses H323 (no MGCP).

boot system flash:c3845-advipservicesk9-mz.151-4.M4.bin

call-manager-fallback
secondary-dialtone 0
max-conferences 8 gain -6
transfer-system full-consult
timeouts interdigit 4
ip source-address 1.2.3.4 port 2000
max-ephones 50
max-dn 60
system message primary Reduce Service SRST Activ
system message secondary Reduce Service SRST
keepalive 20
time-zone 47
time-format 24
date-format dd-mm-yy

Phones are configured to point to address 1.2.3.4 for SRST and there is connectivity between router and phones.

However if I scan the router I found that port 2000 is closed. Could anybody explain me why is port 2000 closed on this router and open on others. What should I do to make SRST work?

Obviously phones do not register with the router and there is nothing in log even when I enable debug.

Otherwise the router operate fine. People can make calls as well as receive call.

Cheers,

Pavel

Problem solved by rebooting.

I had there a wrong IP address in statement: ip source-address 1.2.3.4 port 2000.

Of course I corrected it and I expected it to work immediatelly. WRONG!

You have to reboot the router for this change to take effect.

I hope nobody will have this problem as it is difficult to solve.

Cheers,

Pavel
