Synchronizing databases between active and inactive partitions

I am performing an upgrade on quite a few CUCM servers, going from 6.x to 7.x.  I would like to install the upgrades one night and then reboot the servers to the upgraded partition a few nights later.  This causes problems if there are changes to the database between those two dates (and there definitely will be changes).  Is there a way that I can synch the database from the old partition to the upgraded partition when I do the switch-version?

While I am sure it varies depending on source and target versions (and there may be bugs logged), some data is synchronized on switchover.   User facing features like CFA, MWI, etc. are synchronized when you execute a "utils system switch-versions" command (I assume it works the same from the web portal).  You can also specify a version switch without the sync.
