Can anyone provide any information/experience regarding registration of third-party (non-cisco) endpoints on iPad and Android devices for CME 8.6?
Thanks

Hello,
CME supports third-party SIP end-points so long the SIP signaling is adherent to SIP RFC recommendations. There are several community posts and CME expert blogs that explain how to configure CME for SIP device registration.
One example is here:

hi
t looks like this:
voice service voip
sip
registrar server
voice register global
mode cme
source-address 1.1.1.1 port 5060
max-dn X
max-pool X
voice register dn 1
number 1000
voice register pool 1
id mac XXXX.XXXX.XXXX
type ! If it's 3rd party, omit this
number 1 dn 1
username X password X ! Required if IP phone's address is on different subnet than SIP CME source address
This is the minimum required configuration for SIP CME.
By the way, it's not officially TAC supported, but you can usually get it to work anyway.
