i need some help in setting up transfer recall on the ccm 4.1...as in when we transfer a call to somebody and it's not answered after a 3-4 rings, it should be transferred back to the person who transferred it.

unfortunately, this is not possible with callmanager. Although this is one of the most requested features in my opinion cisco does not see the exigence to implement this feature.

You can use supervised transfer. In this way, you only execute the transfer when you are sure the other end picks up. The current method also gives the ability to leave a voicemail for the person, since they do not want to be transferred back to the original person.
