trouble with translation pattern for local fax number to toll free MyFax system

Daniel Harley

we have 2 local numbers that we forward to toll free number via translation patterns in call manager. these calls get sent the "myFax" servers. our problem is when anyone sends a fax by dialing the local number, not all pages are being sent, some of the pages are cut off or fragmented. but the fax goes through nonetheless. but when the fax is sent to the toll free number and bypassing our call manager, the faxes go through as normal. We are looking into the PRI connection on the gateway, which is a 2811. any ideas of what to look for that could cause the data to not completely transmit when the fax is sent in and out of our PRI?

thank you for your help!!

Daniel,

Check your PRI to see if you have any clock slips..This is usually the cause of fax failures like this...Do a show controller to see the stats on it

ok thank you, we checked and there are 53 slip secs and 53 error secs over an interval of 820 seconds. i'm not too sure what to change that would stop these errors,

First place to start is to check your clock configuration...What is the source of your clocking? This is usually where the issue is...

Can you post a sh run..

i think we figured out that we were set to the backplane. using network-clock-select 1 t1 0/0/0 we changed the clock to look to the card instead. cleared the controller t1 and the counters. so far after about 5 minutes, we have 0 errors now.
