Unity Error 402 message

Unity Connection Version 10.5.2.10000-5

Thanks to anyone who can offer insight to the following....

User "A" calls user "B" and leaves a v-mail message for user "B"

User "A" immediately gets an error 402 non delivery message in their v-mailbox.

User "B" got the message successfully in their v-mailbox and Office365 e-mail inbox. (User "B" uses Message Action: voicemail Accept and Relay the message).

The error 402 message is an intermittent issue. Mailbox Quotas have not been exceeded.

With the failure notification being delivered immediately after leaving the message it seems this could possibly be caused from a delay in delivery from Unity to Exchange and Unity not receiving the delivery successful notification from Exchange within the expected response time. Not sure.

Any idea what is causing the delivery of the error 402 message?

Is there’s a setting for successful delivery receipt time before generating a failed delivery message?

Never mind. A friend figured this out...

Our Unity SMTP Server Configuration we have Delivery Retry Timeout set to 0 minutes, which is the default value and causes Unity Connection to immediately send a non-delivery receipt to the sender when SMTP message delivery fails, prevents a retry delivery of the failed SMTP message.

Also in Advanced System Settings and Messaging settings there’s a Number of seconds to wait for SMTP Response. We’re set with the default 14 seconds, 60 seconds is max allowed.
