Our Unity server runs both Unity as well as the Exchange message store on the same box. The box is getting old and our version of Exchange 2000 has a memory leak. So we are switching to a new server with Exchange 2003, I need to transfer the users for Unity to the new box, as well as point them to the new boxs Exchange Message Store. Pretty sure this is a two step process, can someone help exlplain I am runnning Unity 4.2(1)

Assuming that you will have Unity 4.2 and exchange 2003 on your new exchange server 2003 will be on same box.

To migrate your mailboxes from one exchange to another here's what you need to do, this will be suggested link that you can use..

more specifically..

also, you need to configure partner exchange server.

when you move subscribers then you also need to check if passwords and announcements are same.
