Unity Express 3.2 Voicemail retrieval issue for one user

Hoping someone can point me in the right direction with this problem. A user presses his messages button and accesses his voice mail. It says he has one new message which he does and to press "1" to listen to it. When he presses the number 1 on his phone keypad the voice mail attendant continues to repeat the voice mail menu options. He cannot retrieve his voice mail.

I initially thought this could be a DTMF problem. Since this is only occuring for one user / one telephone I reset that telephone which had no effect. I now think this is an issue with the mailbox but I am not sure.
