Our new phone system, some mobility users have issues receiving voice messages that are emailed to them. The Samsung Galaxy S5 & S6 smartphones that will not play the voicemail message. Other Blackberry's and other branded Android phones have no issue receiving the emailed voicemails. The file received on the Samsung smartphones have zero bytes. On the desktop computers/laptops, MS Outlook plays the files without issue. This has been an issue since system implementation without resolution. The Cisco Unity Connection Administration, is version: 10.5.2.10000-5, recording format G.711 mu-law. Suggestions on how to get the Samsung Android smartphones to receive and play the emailed voicemail messages.

Hi,
I don't think this is a problem with unity. It is more an endpoint issue. I suggest you raise it in Samsung forums mentioning the file type, codec, and frequency to see if they can help.

Solved the issue by changing email programs on the smartphone. The stock email program on the Samsung did not receive the voice messages. It stripped the attachment to 0 bytes. Switching the phones email over to "Microsoft Outlook" works like a charm now.
