I am conducting a upgrade from CUCM 6.1 to 9.1 and would like to now if the 7937 firmware apps37sccp.1-2-1-0 will upgrade straight to CUCM 9.
I know the current firmware version is 14.4, but I would like to know if 12.1 will upgade straigh or do I need a stepped firmware upgrade
I also have 7960 P00308000800 firmware is this compabiable as well ?
Thank you
Dwayne

Looking at 1.4.4 release notes I see this:
If your Cisco Unified IP Conference Station 7937G is running firmware release 1.2.1 or earlier, upgrade to firmware release 1.3(2) before upgrading to firmware release 1.4(4).

You need to review the release notes of current firmware versions to see if there is a direct upgrade from your version.

Thank I have read the release notes and they do not really state if the firmware will automatically upgrade to 14.5 when the the phone is cut over to the new CUCM 9.1, it just states what version of the firmware is compatiable with which CUCM 12.1 is compatiable with CUCM 6.x and lower. Will cutting over the phone without the current phone load brick it ?
Thank You
Dwayne

No, it will simply stay on this version, sometime you require intermediate firmware versions in order to be able to get to the latest.

Check out the readme for 7940/60 SCCP latest 8.1.2SR2
http://www.cisco.com/web/software/282074289/52894/cmterm-7940-7960-sccp.8-1-2SR2-readme.html
"You cannot upgrade to firmware release 8.1(2)SR2 directly from firmware release 8.0(5) or an earlier release. You upgrade to firmware release 8.1(1) first, then upgrade from release 8.1(1) to release 8.1(2)SR2."
P00308000800 = 8.0(8)
So, you should be good on this one.
HTH,
Chris
