Upgrading from Onramp10 to Onramp30- MGCP voice gateway - configuraiton

Hi All,

We are upgrading from Telstra Onramp10 to Onramp30 for our voice gateway.

The router is MGCP controlled.

I was looking through the Gateway CUCM ver 7.1 screens and did not see any reference to the amount of timeslots given on the ISDN service.

I might only need to make the change on the router.

Can anyone confirm?

The configuration on the router will look like this:

controller E1 x/x/x

pri-group timeslots 1-10,16 service mgcp

new router configuration for the Onramp30 will be :

controller E1 x/x/x

pri-group timeslots 1-31 service mgcp

put in

You might need to reset the MGCP GW in CUCM

for onramp30,  you should see all your serial interface available if you do a sh ip int br.  so ser0/0/0:0-0/0/0:30.

make sure you have enough DSP's in the router when you upgrade.
