Using Jabber without CUCM

Is it possible to use Jabber in phone only mode without any Cisco software? We're using  third party VOIP server. I know there are a number of free voip soft phones, but I wanted to try out Jabber.

I don't think that's possible at all, Jabber was created specifically to work and authenticate with CUCM, even if you could try a configuration file, Jabber needs to login in first place.
