VG248 replacement

Hi,

I have a defective VG248 and i need to replace the old one.

What is the best way to do it in order not to rconfigure everything from begining. i mean like change the MAC, etc...

Changing the MAC address on the gateway configuration screen should do the job effectively. I've done this before and it's worked well.

You have to remember though, that some configurations are local to the VG248 and there are no command line options (or menu options) to reload a config.

You'll have to capture to a log file the current config, and replicate it once the new one is installed.

yap i did it today and i only changed the MAC.

as per the basic configuration i had to do it from the CLI, one by one as it does not have a similar OS like Vg224 or IOS.

it is menu based.
